Watch it. Love it.
Yes, it's a real movie. It's an independent film being made by some
people, and though seriously low budget, it looks damn cool. |

Sometimes I fear for the future of this country.
Why is it
that people have to be so ignorant? That when they don't understand or
are afraid of something they feel the need to resort to violence? What
is it that makes them think they are so much better than everyone else
because they are what society deems "normal"?
Let me elaborate.
This questioning stems from comments I read after watching a video on
Youtube earlier. There is a series on Youtube that I have watched a
few times called Ask a Gay Man. William (the host) doesn't say or do
anything in his videos to offend anyone. He simply answers questions
people have or gives opinions or reviews. The video I was watching
earlier was originally posted on June 1st and it was William talking
about gay pride month. The video wasn't very long and was basically
him telling people to be who they are.
After watching the video, I scrolled down to read some of the comments. That's when I came across things like this:
"William's
a ponce cunt. If he was on the streets in Ireland, especially the
crumlin area, he would get the shit kicked through him for just saying
Hey bitches in that bent gay voice. If anyone was openly gay in
ireland, Good luck to you cause here there about to show gays what hell
is really like!!" -Moffman00
" Tonight I'm going to try and
pepper spray a faggot, then kick the ever living shit out of him- or
her. HETERO POWER!!!" -roofieman
"I beat the shit out of a fag
last night, it was fucking funny the way that queer was screaming and
shouting like a little bitch. I'd guess he needed about 50-75 stitches
just on his face. I learned something last night, battons work just as
well as wooden bats." -roofieman
After reading comments like
this I didn't know whether to cry or break something. It angers me so
much that people have so much prejudice and hatred for something they
don't even completely understand that they say/do things like that.
Nothing gives anyone the right to hurt another human being.
I
actually had a pretty well thought out blog entry all ready to go
inside my head and as soon as I got to that last paragraph I just
couldn't remember it at all. I was too busy being angry.
*sigh* I'm going to go calm down. I will come back and finish this later.
